MEET SORENTO

Let’s get epic.

Pack up and set out for whatever your imagination has in store. The Sorento SUV has seating for seven with versatile storage to let you bring enough gear for the crew. And with the power of an available V6 engine and capability of optional fully-active all-wheel drive, you’ll be ready to tackle the road with confidence.

Rack-type Motor-Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS)

A firm, solid feel and unprecedented steering response are simultaneously achieved with optional R-MDPS.

Automatic transmission

An electronically controlled 8-speed and 6-speed automatic transmission provides smooth, seamless shifting and improved fuel efficiency.

Manual transmission

The Sorento’s 6-speed manual gearbox offers high torque on demand for acceleration and sporty performance, along with smooth, fuel-efficient gear changes.

Drive mode select system

Choose Normal, Eco, Sport or Smart mode to suit your preferences. Standard on automatic transmission models.
* Smart mode is only available on 8A/T models and 2.4 GDi model mated with 6A/T.

SAFETY

We've given the unthinkable quite a bit of thought

Feel protected inside the Sorento cabin where you are surrounded by a safety cage design fortified with ultra-high-tension steel and a 6-airbag SRS system. Thoroughly tested in countless crash simulations and actual collision tests, the Sorento puts occupant safety above all else.

Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS)

To improve nighttime driving visibility, this system aims and controls the distribution of the low beams as the vehicle goes through turns in proportion to the turning angle. Optional on EX models.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)

When backing out of a parking spot or driveway, the system warns the driver if it detects any cross traffic in the lane the vehicle is entering.

Cruise Control (CC)

For comfort and improved fuel economy, the cruise control system lets you set and maintain a speed above 40 km/h. If you accelerate, it will return to your set speed once you take your foot from the pedal. To turn off cruise control, turn the steering-wheel-mounted switch off, or simply tap the brake pedal.

Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)

The system uses radar sensors to monitor approaching vehicles from the rear in the lanes flanking the driver. If a vehicle is detected, a visual alert appears on the sideview mirrors.
